A wildfire that started on Thursday morning in Neo Chorio, Paphos, has been contained, the Forestry Department said in a statement.
Fast reactions by fire fighting crews caught the blaze before spreading, it added.
The fire broke out at 07:50 in the morning and was contained around 20 minutes later.
According to the Forestry Department, 10 department employees with two trucks, along with two fire service officers with a fire service truck, as well as volunteers rushed to the location to put out the fire.
The fire burned mainly scrubland.
The causes of the fire are under investigation.
