Visits to healthcare professionals of the General Health System are only covered by the system if there is reference by the GP, the Health Insurance Organization (OAY) said also reminding that there are “ceilings” to the number of visits per specialty.
OAY issued instructions to doctors and healthcare professionals since two months after the addition of more services to the Health System, the System is trying to balance and there is some confusion about the procedures.
