Home visits by healthcare providers to bed-bound people for Covid-19 vaccines are almost completed, according to a Health Ministry press release issued Friday.
One of the main aims was to vaccinate vulnerable groups of the population, said the Ministry. After all residents of nursing homes over 80 were vaccinated, almost 80% of bed-bound people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. So far 571 persons were vaccinated.
Twelve mobile units with 23 state healthcare providers covered rural and urban areas on a pancyprian level.
Those eligible to receive their COVID shots at home should be registered as bed-bound in the General Health System register, the ministry added.
Vaccination against COVID-19 is the way to return to normal conditions the soonest, the Ministry said, adding that for some people every day and every moment matters and any suspicion of postponing vaccinations of people, especially those who need it, is a risk to their own lives.
