Fire fighters from the Republic of Cyprus and the British Bases have contained a fire that broke out near Ypsonas early on Saturday afternoon.
Three fire trucks from the Republic of Cyprus fire services and one from the British Bases as well as a fire fighting airplane of the Forestry Department and two helicopters attended to the fire.
The fire was close to a residential area and fire fighters’s efforts were initially focused on preventing it from spreading there.
