On April 19, the Holy Synod, if nothing untoward happens, will be deposing two clergymen for two completely different categories of moral misconduct.
The first priest to be deposed is the one already sentenced by two courts for molesting the then minor, Elena Frantzi, who passed away recently, and was initiated following the revelation of the minutes of the Holy Synod (dated June 25, 2015) indicating that he was falsely and deviously acquitted of all charges.
The second case concerns a priest, in a village in Pafos, involved in an extramarital affair.
