Provocative paintings a Cyprus teacher who is also an artist posted in his Facebook page have stirred a storm of reaction and the issue is now before the Ministry of Education.
Some of the controversial paintings show Jesus Christ on a bike or holding a scarf of a specific Nicosia football club, naked women whose faces are either of an animal or a bird and dogs or humans peeing on political and religious leaders.
Philenews also reported on Wednesday that insiders believe the controversy is taking a wider dimension with the Ministry asked to consider whether his artistic expression has crossed social and religious boundaries.
