Supreme Court rejects proposal for release of long-term convict doctor

The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by a 65-year-old doctor who is serving a 26-year-sentence for crimes of a sexual nature.

Moreover, the doctor in a report noted that the medical councils which had rejected his request to be released for medical reasons, were acting in violation of the principle of equal treatment and of the principle of rule of law, noting that they only approve VIP prisoners, meaning people of high social status.
