Hot with plenty of sunshine on Tuesday and with a yellow warning from the Meteorological Service for extremely high temperatures in effect till 4pm.
Winds will be variable, easterly to northeasterly, moderate to strong, force 3 to 4, over smooth to slight sea waters.
The temperature will rise to 40 C inland, 32 C in the mountains, 34 C in the west coast and 36 C in all other coastal areas.
