Silia Kapsis, 16, an Australian of Cypriot descent, is Cyprus’ choice for Eurovision 2024.
The news was announced Monday by the state broadcaster CyBC. This brings the number of confirmed acts for Eurovision 2024 to two following Belgium’s Mustii.
Kapsis’ father comes from Cyprus, while her mother is Greek.
According to CyBC, the sixteen-year-old singer will compete at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest with a song written by Demetris Kontopoulos.
Kapsis was internally picked by CyBC.
The 2024 edition of the Eurovision will take place in Malmo, Sweden, this May.
Andrew Lambrou represented Cyprus at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with his entry ‘Break A Broken A Heart’.
