Weak low pressure is affecting the area while weak high pressure is expected from tomorrow.
Today will be mainly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms as well as dust in the atmosphere.
Temperatures will rise to to 17 C inland and on the coasts and around 10 C in the mountains.
The weather will clear by tonight and the dust is expected to gradually clear. Temperatures will fall to 8 C inland, around 10 C on the coasts and around 6 C in the mountains.
The weekend will be mainly fine with locally increased cloud at intervals. On Monday there will be intervals of sunshine and intervals of increased cloud which in the evening may lead to isolated showers, mainly in the west.
Temperatures will edge up on Saturday and again until Monday to above the seasonal average.
The height of snow on Troodos Square at the time of issue of the early morning weather bulletin was 24 cm.
