Scattered showers possible this afternoon, unsettled weather over weekend

Weak low pressure is affecting the area while low pressure is expected from Saturday.

Friday will start off mainly fine but in the afternoon increased local cloud may lead to scattered showers, mainly in the mountains.

Temperatures will rise to 37 C inland, 33 C on the east and south coasts, 31 C on the remaining coasts and around 29 C in the mountains.

Tonight will be mainly fine but there will be increased, mainly low cloud locally. Temperatures will fall to 22 C inland and on the east and south coasts, around 20 C on the remaining coasts and around 15 C in the mountains.

On Saturday the weather will be partly cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by hail.

On Sunday and Monday, increased cloud at intervals may lead to isolated showers, mainly in the mountains and inland after midday.

Temperatures will drop on Saturday to about average for the time of year but will edge up as from Sunday to a little above average.
