A 35-year-old Russian woman who permanently lives in Cyprus died Sunday evening after losing control of her car just after the Paramali exit on the Limassol-Paphos highway.
The driver first lost control of the car which then hit the motorway barrier railing violently. This was around 23:15, traffic police also said.
On Monday morning, a section of the Limassol to Paphos highway near the exit to Paramali, in the vicinity of the British bases, has been closed in both directions due to the fatal accident.
Drivers will be diverted through the Paramali exit, as the road is expected to remain closed until midday.
