Police on Monday issued a warning saying they have received a number of complaints of telephone calls which appear to come from North Korea.
The phone number starts with 00850 and there are grounds to believe that this is a scam leading to recipients to be overcharged.
The public is urged to be particularly careful, not to answer such calls and to communicate with their supplier for more information.
