Police have said a 13-year-old boy was injured in a hit and run accident while crossing Ayiou Pavlou Avenue in Lakatamia on Thursday – around nine in the evening.
The boy was taken to Nicosia General Hospital with an open leg fracture and he is fortunately out of danger.
Investigations are ongoing with police asking for the public’s assistance to trace the driver.
