Police booked 24 individuals and three shop owners all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violating measures against the further spread of Covid-19.
Two of the shop owners were fined €3,000 and €8,000 respectively, while a court case has bee filed for the third one, CNA also reported on Thursday.
The force had carried out a total of 1,099 inspections island-wide.
In Nicosia, the force carried out 105 checks and reported 2 individuals and 1 shop owner.
In Limassol, 36 checks were carried out with 2 individuals and 1 shop owner fined.
In Larnaca, 328 checks led to no fines, while 6 individuals and 1 shop owner were fined in Paphos after 79 checks.
In Famagusta, 7 individuals were booked following 287 checks, while no fines were issued after 168 inspections in Morphou area.
At the same time, no fines were issued following 92 checks by the Traffic Department and 4 checks by the Port and Marine Police.
Following the checks by the Airport Authorities, 7 individuals were booked.
