Police issue 25 fines in 24 hours for breach of Covid protective measures

Police booked 24 individuals and one establishment all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The Force had carried out a total of 3,233 inspections, according to the Cyprus News Agency.

In Nicosia, out of 1,044 inspections four individuals were fines, while 361 checks in Limassol led to eight individuals getting booked.

In Larnaca, five individuals were reported after 694 checks and four individuals and one shop owner were reported in Paphos after 126 checks.

In Famagusta, out of 470 checks three individuals were reported, while 189 checks in Morphou led to no fines issued at all.

The Marine and Port Police carried out 134 checks and issued no fines.
