Police are investigating the theft of 31 sacks containing 1035 kilos of peanuts from a processing plant in Kouklia.
The theft was reported by the owner who said that the specific batch of peanuts were contaminated with aflatoxins.
Officers from Kouklia police station visited the factory and found that the the perpetrators had gained access by using a sharp object to open a side door.
Investigations continue.
