Police booked 78 individuals and three establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
They had carried out a total of 1,428 inspections, and most fines were handed out for not wearing face masks.
In Nicosia, 231 inspections were carried out, in Limassol 315, in Larnaca 348, in Paphos 198, in Famagusta 287 and in Morphou 57.
Twenty individuals and one establishment were fined in Nicosia, 10 individuals and one establishment in Limassol, 40 individuals in Larnaca, one establishment and 10 individuals in Paphos, 10 individuals in Famagusta and three individuals in Morphou area.
