Police booked 12 establishments and 28 individuals all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
They had carried out a total of 963 inspections, and most fines were handed for not wearing face masks.
In Nicosia, 72 inspections were carried out, in Limassol 230, in Larnaca 246, in Paphos 101, in Famagusta 160 and in Morphou 145.
Two individuals were fined in Nicosia, another two in Limassol, 18 in Larnaca, two in Paphos, three in Famagusta and one in Morphou area.
Two owners of premises were booked in Nicosia, four in Limassol, one in Larnaca, three in Paphos and two in Famagusta district.
