Limassol Police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old man allegedly selling IPTV connections illegally, Philenews reports.
He was arrested in his home and the police collected a number of evidence to be examined in connection with offenses under the Intellectual Property Law and the Prevention and Combating of Proceeds from Illegal Activities.
At the same time, preliminary investigations show that the suspect’s IPTV connections also included access to NOVA GR channels.
IPTV (Internet Protocol television) is a service that provides television programming and other video content using the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) suite, as opposed to broadcast TV, cable TV or satellite signals.
The 35-year-old man has been remanded in custody pending further investigations.
