Paphis district court on Saturday ordered a community leader to be remanded in custody for two days as police investigate a case of theft and abuse of power by a public official.
The man, who is head of the community council of a community in the Paphos district, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of taking €.3,472 from the community’s fund in order to pay sums owed by the fund without submitting any receipts.
