An orange alert for extremely high temperatures is in effect for Wednesday as these are set to reach a minimum of 41°C inland.
The alert is in effect from 12 pm to 5 pm, according to the Mediterranean island’s Meteorological Service.
The weather will be mainly fine with temperatures set to rise to a minimum of 35°C in the south and east coasts, 33°C in the north and west coasts, and 34°C in the mountains.
