Extended operation hours of walk-in vaccination centers all across Cyprus come in effect as of Monday in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Specifically, the centers will be open from 08:00 to 18:00 daily and from 08:00 till 13:00 on Saturdays.
Walk in centres operate at the State Fair Grounds in Nicosia, “Spyros Kyprianou” Sports Center in Limassol, the Larnaca Port and Famagusta General Hospital as well as Paphos General Hospital.
In addition, health authorities have announced that vaccination centres where an appointment needs to be made continue to be in operation – from 08:00 to 15:00 on weekdays.
Eligible for vaccination are members of the public from age 12 and older receiving their first or second dose of the vaccine.
As well as those 40 and older due to receive their booster shot – as long as six months have passed from their second dose.
Also eligible are members of vulnerable groups, health professionals and nursing home workers.
People must carry identification documents such as an ID card or passport, and their vaccination card if they are receiving their second or third dose.
