The Fire Service responded to 21 calls for help in Nicosia on Tuesday as heavy rain and hail batter the capital.
A spokesman for the Fire Service said that the calls were from the areas of Engomi, Archangelos and Ayios Dhometios.
6 calls were for vehicles trapped in flooded roads, 5 were for pumping water out of properties and basements and 6 to unblock street gutters in public roads.
4 more street gutters were unblocked by Engomi Municipality staff in collaboration with the Fire Service.
