The Council of Ministers today dealt with the issue of deprivation of citizenship for people who got the Cypriot passport through the Cyprus Investment Program, according to government spokesman Kyriakos Kousios. The Council examined the verdict of the relevant committee and decided to begin the process of depriving seven people from the Cypriot citizenship. These people had hidden important facts or had made false statements when submitting their application. It was also decided that the verdict of the Committee be conveyed to the Chief of Police, who will investigate 12 people in total to ascertain whether any of them is wanted for crimes.
