Man in Limassol stabs neighbour over electricity quarrel

Police in Limassol arrested a 34-year-old on Sunday for allegedly stabbing his 40-year-old neighbour.

According to a police statement, on Sunday evening, the victim reported to the Episkopi Police Station that while watching television, the power suddenly went off. When he stepped outside to see what was happening he saw that his neighbour had switched off his electricity.

The two men started quarrelling and the suspect allegedly stabbed the man on his left arm and shoulder.

Members of the Police arrived at the scene where they found the suspect and the knife, which he handed over to the officers.

The 40-year-old went to the Limassol General Hospital. He was released after receiving treatment.
