Tuesday will be mainly fine with increased cloud coverage at times inland and in the mountains where isolated showers are also on the forecast.
Temperatures will rise to 38 C inland and 30 C in the mountains, 32 C on the west and east coasts and 34 on the south and north coasts.
Winds will be moderate to strong, 3 to 4 Beaufort, over smooth to slight seas.
The fire hazard is high in all forest areas.
