Tuesday will be mainly fine with temperatures rising to 40°C inland, around 35°C in all coasts, and 32°C in the mountains, according to the Mediterranean island’s Meteorological Service.
A yellow alert for very high temperatures is in effect from 1pm to 4pm.
Variable winds will be blowing and the sea will be smooth to slight.
The hot air mass affecting the area will begin to gradually subside as from Wednesday where temperatures will drop substantially.
Light dust may be observed in the atmosphere – from Tuesday afternoon till Wednesday morning.
