Limassol police have arrested two men, both non-Cypriot, following the abduction of a 36 year old woman from Moldova who was later found safe and well in a house in Alassa.
Witnesses saw the woman being bundled into a red car as she was walking on Amathus Avenue at around 3 pm on Thursday. She was found at around 7 pm.
Police said that during their investigation they received information that the same car was involved in a collision and immobilised. In it police found two knifes, precision scales with traces of a white powder and two small nylon bags with white substance. The driver, a 34 year old man, was arrested.
Police then searched the 34 year old’s house where they found a 35 year old man and the woman who had been abducted. The second man was also arrested.
Phileleftheros said one of the suspects is her former boyfriend.
