A 29 year old man is in police custody on drug charges after a police chase in Limassol late on Friday afternoon.
Police said that members of the anti-narcotics squad had spotted the man’s car in Moutayiakka at around 6 pm, and signalled him to stop as there was an arrest warrant pending against him.
But instead he sped off, police in pursuit, but crashed into a police car.
In his car police found 14 grams of cannabis, precision scales and €1,160 in cash. At his home police found 27 grams of cocaine.
He was arrested and police said they also investigating a number of traffic offences including driving without road tax and insurance and dangerous driving.
