A 13 year old boy was caught driving his mother’s car in Limassol at midnight on Tuesday, the third reported case involving underage drivers in 24 hours.
Two 15 year olds were caught driving in Limassol and Paphos on Monday night, the latter with his father as co-driver and neither of them wearing seat belts.
The latest incident involves a 13 year old non-Cypriot, CyBC said. A double cabin truck was stopped on Ayia Sophia road in the Ayios Ioannis where astounded police officers found a 13 year old behind the wheel.
He was taken to the police station and his mother called in and charged.
