Larnaca police are seeking a 26 year old non-Cypriot suspected of attacking a 32 year old non-Cypriot with a sword around 11 pm on Tuesday night.
Police said there were called to the scene where a man had been injured. They said the 26 year old Iraqi was suspected of seriously injuring a 32 year old Syrian. Both are political refugees.
The injured man was taken to hospital where he underwent an operation. His condition is described as serious but out of danger.
