Larnaca district court on Monday ordered a 41 year old non-Cypriot be held in custody for eight days as police investigate a child pornography case.
The man was arrested on Sunday after Interpol alerted police that someone had posted child porn photos and videos on three different accounts on a social media platform.
The cyber crime unit identified the owner of the accounts as the suspect who was arrested at his home in Larnaca on Sunday.
During a search of his home, police took away a tablet for tests.
The suspect has reportedly admitted to be the owner of the three accounts and to having downloaded child porn from other accounts.
