Police on Tuesday released the photo of a Jordanian man wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a 28-year-old man in Nicosia on Sunday, May 1.
The suspect is Ahmad Rayed Al Zahri, born in Jordan on June 18, 1994 and now a permanent resident of Cyprus.
Police also said that while the 28-year-old man was walking down a busy street in Nicosia, the 27-year-old wanted man approached him along with a second suspect – a 36-year-old man.
After a heated discussion the 27-year-old man attacked the victim with a sharp object injuring him on his abdomen. The two suspects then fled but one of the two suspects got arrested before the day’s end.
