Paphos police are investigating a burglary in Peyia after a British permanent resident reported that his house had been broken into between 7.30 pm and 10 pm on Friday with burglars making off with jewellery and watches worth 20,000 euro.
Police investigators determined that the burglarshad gained access by breaking the lock of the balcony door with a sharp object.
The owner said the house had a burglar alarm which however had not been switched on.
The stolen items were not insured.
