A 37-year-old housekeeper from Nepal is wanted by police after running away with €48,000 stolen from the 83-year-old man under her care in a Paphos village.
The elderly man told police on Wednesday she has left her place of residence and work and that a box with 48,000 euros he kept in his cupboard is gone.
Police believe the 37-year-old woman has probably already left Cyprus.
However, investigations by Paphos CID are ongoing.
