A 40-year-old foreign convict at the island’s Central Prison died on Monday at Nicosia General Hospital, according to a departmental statement.
The convict was transferred to the Hospital on January 23 with very high liver enzymes, his condition deteriorated over the following days and passed away on Monday, the announcement also said.
A post mortem examination will be carried out, as police are investigating the sudden death case.
