Two Greek Cypriots who were detained by Turkish occupation authorities in Strovilia on Saturday have been released.
The father and son, both of whom live in Strovilia, had gone to visit the family home on Saturday afternoon. They were arrested on the charge of entering a prohibited military area.
Both appeared before a Turkish Cypriot ‘court’ on Monday which fined each one 1500 Turkish lira. They were then released and are now back home.
