Police have arrested a 31 year old man who was caught speeding at 200 kmĀ on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, twice the permitted limit.
In an announcement, police said the man had been stopped at 2 am on Tuiesday and was arrested on the spot for driving at 200 km per hour on a 100 km speed limit road.
The driver also underwent an alco-test with a final reading ofĀ 23 mg. The permitted level is 22 mg.
He was taken to the police station where he was placed in custody.
