Six months after the decision of the Legal Service not to prosecute the policemen who got involved in the investigation of the case of missing women who became the victims of Metaxas, the road is now open for the policemen’s disciplinary actions.
Recently the Independent Authority Investigating Complaints against the Police sent a letter to the Chief of Police mentioning the names of the 15 officers and policemen and requesting disciplinary actions against them.
Now the Deputy Commander Chief will appoint a Disciplinary Committee which will inform the persons involved of the process to be followed. When the 15 policemen will receive their charges, they will reply and state whether they will appoint a lawyer.
The question arising is whether all 15 will be tried together or separately.
