Daleela ferry left this morning the port of Limassol and sailed for its first trip to Greece.
After 21 years, Cypriots once again have the opportunity to travel by ship to Greece and back. Despite the initial difficulties the endeavor was finally successful due to the insistent efforts of Deputy Minister of Shipping Vasilios Demetriades and his associates.
The first trip began today and aboard the ship are various officials, ministers, deputies, the mayor of Limassol, journalists and associates of the shipping ministry. Before the ship sailed off, President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades made a speech during a special event. The President pointed out the importance of this event, noting that the re-connection gives the opportunities to many citizens to visit Greece.
