President Nicos Anastasiades will lead a new ministerial meeting called at the Presidential Palace for Monday, March 23 at 9.15 am.

The meeting follows a series of sweeping government measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in Cyprus that include the shutting down of schools, a decree setting a maximum of 75 people in public places like cinemas, restaurants and cafes and a two-week ban on flights to Cyprus.

Cyprus has so far recorded 84 positive cases of Coronavirus in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus and another 35 in the Turkish-held north.
