Paphos Municipality has set up a special unit to deliver food and medicine to the elderly and vulnerable groups who cannot leave their home to get supplies because of the spread of coronavirus.
It said that anyone requiring assistance should telephone 8000 6362.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Mayor Phedon Phedonos which decided to set up the special unit. Crews are continuing to clean streets and other public areas and where necessary disinfect public areas.
The municipality has prohibited the public from visiting its offices until April 10 and for urgent issues they should call the switchboard on 26822270. Bills can be paid online on www.pafos.org.cy. An extension until April 30 has been given for the payment of all municipal bills.
All events have been postponed.
