A British couple came face to face with two burglars on their return to their Paphos apartment after an outing on Wednesday evening, Philenews reported.
They told police that they saw the two burglars inside their flat looking for valuables as soon as they opened their front door.
The 56 year old man tried to catch them, but he was pushed to the ground and the two burglars ran off empty handed.
Their faces were not covered. They were described as being aged between 30 and 40. One was slightly built and the other heavily built.
Police are investigating.
