Archbishop Chrysostomos is travelling to the United States today where he will undergo an operation on his liver, the archbishopric has announced.
It said that following the completion of chemotherapy, the archbishop will leave at midday on Monday for the US where he will undergo surgery for liver cancer at a specialised medical centre.
He is accompanied by his private doctor, neurosurgeon Theologos Theologou and the head of the archboshop’s office Michail Spyrou.
