Police booked 582 drivers for speeding and another 60 for drunk driving during the three days from Friday to Sunday as part of ongoing campaigns to prevent road accidents and tackle noise and delinquency.
In an announcement, police said that 633 vehicles and 680 people were checked and there were more than 1100 bookings of which 582 were for speeding and 60 for drunk driving.
Police also provided road assistance in 56 cases.
