3rd batch of medical supplies arrives from China

Cyprus has taken delivery of the third batch of medical equipment and supplies from China.

An Aegean Airlines airplane landed at Larnaca Airport early on Friday morning with about seven tons of supplies, part of which is aid from China to help Cyprus deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

The Health Ministry thanked China for its help as well as Aegean Airlines and Hellenic Petroleum who offered the flight for free, the third so far.

The ministry also thanked the two for offering to operate another two flights.

“This help is valuable in these difficult times,” it said.

The new shipment includes surgical masks and high protection masks, swabs for testing and PPE for health professionals.
