A 30-day-old infant died yesterday at Makarion Hospital and his parents are suing the staff of the Pediatric Clinic of the Limassol General Hospital for medical negligence. The exact causes of death will be ascertain during the post mortem that will be carried out today by coroner Angeliki Papetta.
The little boy had been transferred on Thursday evening to Makarion from the Limassol General Hospital in a serious condition. Initially the doctors at Makarion proceeded with an operation and then intubated the infant, which unfortunately died a bit later.
