A 27 year old man was caught speeding at 176 km per hour on the Limassol-Nicosia highway where the speed limit is 100 km per hour.
The man was stopped near the Tseri exit at around 3 am on Sunday.
He was arrested, taken to the police station, charged in writing and released to appear in court at a later date.
