A 16-year-old girl from Paphos has been seriously injured during a car accident on Saturday night and is currently hospitalized at the Nicosia General Hospital.
According to the Paphos Police spokesman, a 23-year-old was driving at Dimokratias Avenue in Chloraka and the 16-year-old was her passenger. Under conditions that are being investigated, the 23-year-old entered into the opposite lane and collided with a car driven by a 40-year old with another 40-year-old as his passenger.
Due to the collision all four persons were injured and were taken to the Paphos General Hospital. There, it was decided that the minor should be transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital since she needed specialized treatment.
The Paphos Traffic Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
